Goals and Roadmap - Sept '25


The first devlog of Celestial Crash is being done at the point where the game, in my estimation, is at 70% completion towards the goal a demo on Steam and Itch. So we'll go over the current goals and what it will take to get there:

  • Steam and Itch demo:
    • Completion of pause/settings menu
    • Completion of tutorial levels
    • Completion of music and sound effects
    • Completion of game cover and win/lose screens
    • Positive response to Steam playtesting (may skip and go straight to demo)
  • Steam and Itch full release:
    • Positive response to local playtesting of demo
    • Completion of implementing changes resulting from playtesting
    • Positive response to Steam demo
    • Completion of implementing changes resulting from Steam demo response
  • Google Play mobile version release
    • Development of touch controls version of game
    • Positive response to local and Google Play playtesting of touch controls version demo
  • Versus co-op mode (Steam only) and releases of new mechanics and levels
    • Positive response to release 
    • Maintenance tasks not overwhelming
